One driver is charged, including refusing to provide a breath sample to police after an accident in South Oshawa that left five people hospitalized.

Officials reacted to the collision of two vehicles on Malaga Road and Oxford Street at around 7.45 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21, Durham police said. Information gathered at the scene showed that a silver Kia was traveling at high speed before running over a stop sign and colliding with an SUV, police said.

All five occupants of the SUV were taken to hospital with minor injuries, the police said. The driver of the Kia was charged.

Clifton Goffe-Forde, 26, from Oshawa, faces charges on charges such as unable to breathe and driving dangerously.
