Ajax males charged with tried homicide in brazen shootings in Oshawa

Investigations into a day shooting in Oshawa, in which a man was seriously injured, have led to the arrest of two suspects, according to police.

Two Ajax men are charged, including attempted murder, in connection with the incident that occurred just before noon on September 9 at the junction of Ritson Road and Bond Street, Durham police said. A suspect fled on foot after firing shots into a car, the police said at the time.

A 25-year-old victim was taken to hospital seriously injured.

In an update, police said suspects were arrested in Barrie on October 1 and in Woodbridge on October 6.

Dana Williams, 34, and Jermaine Weekes, 36, both from Ajax, are charged with attempted murder, assault, deliberate firing of a gun, and possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm with ammunition.
