CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Teen theft suspects ram cruisers in try and evade police
A prolonged pursuit that involved suspects being trailed by a police helicopter and ramming cruisers as police closed in has resulted in the arrest of three teenagers.
Officers first responded to a report of a robbery during which suspects made off with narcotics from an IDA pharmacy on Bond Street in Oshawa just before 6 pm Thursday, March 3, police said. The suspects fled in a white Mercedes that had been reported stolen in Toronto.

The car was spotted later that night in Pickering and Durham’s Air 1 helicopter tracked it as it was driven west to York Region, police said. Officers moved to make arrests when the car was seen parked in front of another pharmacy on Hwy. 7 in Markham.
As officers moved to block the car in the driver attempted to flee, ramming police cruisers, police said. Three suspects fled on foot but were rounded up by officers.
Three teens, aged 15, 16 and 17, face charges including robbery, flight from police, possession of property obtained by crime and wearing a disguise.
