Couple arrested after drug investigation in Oshawa

Two people were arrested and cannabis and cash were confiscated during a drug investigation in Oshawa.

Durham Regional Police on Tuesday December 21st issued a search warrant against two companies – City Patties and Convenience Plus. While searching the shops on John Street West, police seized cash, more than 500 grams of cannabis and other drug paraphernalia, the police said.

Andre Rankine, 36, of Grandview Street, Oshawa, and Nicole Teelucksingh, 49, of Dunkirk Avenue, Oshawa were each charged with possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling and selling cannabis to an adult.

Rankine has also been charged with possession of cannabis for dissemination and other tobacco-related charges.

They were both released from engagements.
