Lady threatens subway staff in Oshawa with a whistle in theft

In a robbery in Oshawa, a woman threatened a sub-shop employee with a steel pipe, police said.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident at a subway store on Simcoe and King streets at around 4:25 p.m. on Sunday, June 20. Durham police said a woman with a surgical mask over her face spoke to a worker before entering the building with a pipe and asking for cash.

The suspect, believed to be 30 or 40 years old, stole cash from a till and then fled on foot, police said.
