Man arrested after taking pictures youngsters in Oshawa

A man was arrested after a teenager was shot dead in Oshawa.

A 19-year-old man was shot dead shortly after midnight in the parking lot of the BLVD Restaurant and Bar on Simcoe Street North on Saturday, November 6th. There was an altercation between two groups of people and the victim was shot dead, Durham Regional Police said.

He was rushed to a hospital near Toronto with non-life-threatening injuries.

The police issued search warrants on a house and vehicle in Oshawa. A suspect was arrested without incident while working in South Whitby, police discovered.

Dylan Cadieux-DaCosta, 22, of Huron Street in Oshawa, faces 14 charges, including aggravated assault, deliberate firing of a gun, negligent use of a firearm, occupation of a motor vehicle with a firearm, possession of a dangerous weapon, and public peace Possession of a firearm contrary to an order.

He was being held on bail hearing.
