Oshawa’s second Costco location is set to celebrate a grand opening on June 9.
Costco Wholesale Canada says the north Oshawa store, located at 100 Windfields Farm Dr. E., has created 85 part-time jobs and 80 to 100 seasonal jobs.
There is so much interest in the new location that is has its own Facebook group with close to 7,000 members.
When plans for the new store were announced last summer, Oshawa Mayor Dan Carter called it “very exciting” and said the store will create “more jobs, more investment and more opportunities for the great City of Oshawa.”
The north Oshawa store will open to the public at 7 am on June 9 following an early-morning ribbon cutting with Costco officials and Mayor Carter.
