Oshawa man faces greater than 30 expenses following firearm, drug trafficking investigation

An Oshawa man is facing more than 30 charges in connection with a firearm and drug trafficking investigation in Toronto.

The Toronto Police Gun and Gang Task Force started an investigation in early 2022. As a result of the investigation, a search warrant was executed at two addresses and on a vehicle, Toronto Police noted in a news release.

On Tuesday, March 8, Bryan Taylor, 36, of Oshawa, was arrested, police stated.

Taylor is facing 29 firearm-related charges, along with two counts of possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of proceeds of property or thing obtained by crime not exceeding $5,000.

Items seized by police include three handguns, drugs, ammunition, two bullet-proof vests, six overcapacity magazines and two police scanners, police said.

Taylor is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, March 17 at 10 am
