Police have charged an Oshawa man with sexual assault offenses and they want to ensure there are no other victims.
The Durham Regional Police Service Special Victims Unit started an investigation in August after several young female victims came forward with allegations of a sexual nature against a north Oshawa resident. The assaults happened between January and August of this year and involved underaged girls, police said.
Sean McDonald, 59, was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 7 and charged with two counts of sexual assault, two counts of sexual interference and one count of making sexually explicit material available to a person under 14 years of age.
He was held for a bail hearing.
Investigators want to ensure there are no more victims and police have released a picture of the suspect.
