Oshawa residents had been invited to touch upon the modifications within the surroundings on King Avenue
The public is invited to comment on a proposal to widen the sidewalk on the north side of King Street West between Simcoe Street North and King Street in Oshawa.
The city said the widening is intended to create additional space for pedestrians, landscaping, outdoor patios / cafes, street facilities, and businesses. It will allow for a left turn lane on Simcoe Street North, although a lane will be reduced midway along King Street West.
The City of Oshawa is pursuing this project after widening the sidewalk on the north side of King Street East between Simcoe Street North and Ontario Street and between Ontario Street and Mary Street in recent years.
Until July 8th for your opinion on the proposal, visit www.connectoshawa.ca/streetscape.
