Oshawa’s council candidates as of Could 5

Oshawa has its first race for the upcoming municipal election — with a challenger candidate and the incumbent mayor to face off in the fall.

The nomination period for the fall municipal election opened on Monday, May 2. In the first days of the nomination period, several people stepped up to run to fill the council seats.

Oshawa’s candidates as of Thursday, May 5 are:

Majors: Dan Carter, Joe Ingino

Ward 2 Regional Councilor: Tito-Dante Marimpietri

Ward 2 City Councilor: Jonathan Giancroce

Ward 4 City Councilor: Kristine Dandavino

Ward 5 Regional Councilor: Brian Nicholson
