Oshawa’s council candidates as of July 22
The race for the upcoming municipal election in Oshawa is getting busy — with candidates ready to face off in the fall.
The nomination period for the fall municipal election opened in May. Since then, several people stepped up to run to fill the council seats.
Oshawa’s candidates as of Friday, July 22 are:
Major: Dan Carter, Joe Ingino
Ward 1 City Councilor: Ahmad Rashed Formuly
Ward 2 Regional Councilors: Tito Dante Marimpietri
Ward 2 City Councilor: Jonathan Giancroce, Jane Hurst
Ward 3 Regional Councilors: Bob Chapman, Jemma Lambert
Ward 3 City Councilor: Bradley Marks
Ward 4 Regional Councilor: Rick Kerr, Doug Sanders
Ward 4 City Councilor: James Bountrogiannis, Kristine Dandavino, Fred Eismont, Derek Giberson, Mark Logan, Dave Thompson
Ward 5 Regional Councilors: Todd Forbes, Brian Nicholson
Ward 5 City Councilor: Taylor Shane Bailey
