Pedestrian suffers critical accidents in Oshawa collision

A 40-year-old male pedestrian suffered serious injuries in a collision in Oshawa on Thursday, August 18, 2022.

A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being struck in Oshawa.

On Thursday, Aug. 18 at about 4:15 pm, Durham Regional Police officers went to Taunton Road and Northbrook Street, where a pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle.

A 40-year-old man was taken to a Toronto-area trauma center with serious injuries, police said.

The vehicle was eastbound on Taunton when the collision happened, police noted.

The driver remained at the scene and spoke to investigators, police added.

Members of the DRPS Collision Investigation Unit conducted an investigation. The roads in the area were closed for several hours while evidence was collected.
