Police are interesting for witnesses after the 19-year-old driver was critically injured in a crash in South Oshawa

A man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a car crash Tuesday afternoon, January 11, in southern Oshawa.

Durham Police are continuing to investigate the incident which took place on Wentworth Street between Cedar Street and Simcoe Street at around 4.40pm. Police said an eastbound vehicle being driven by a 19-year-old man crashed into a utility pole on the south side of the road.

The driver was taken to a Toronto hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The roadway was closed for several hours due to police investigations.
