Police investigating suspicious hearth at unoccupied home in Oshawa
A fire that gutted an unoccupied home in Oshawa has been declared suspicious, prompting an investigation by Durham police.
Oshawa firefighters arrived at the scene of the blaze, in the area of Fernhill Boulevard and Rossland Road West, around 4:30 pm Friday, April 29, to find the structure engulfed by flames, police said. The house was unoccupied and no injuries were reported.
An investigation by Oshawa fire officials determined the fire to be suspicious.
