Investigators have released a sketch of a man whose remains were found a decade ago in north Oshawa as part of their ongoing attempt to identify him.
The “facial approximation,” composed by a forensic artist with Ontario Provincial Police, depicts how the man’s face appeared based on the remains, Durham police said in an update Dec. 1. It is hoped the renewed appeal for information will lead to a breakthrough in the case.
The remains, found March 14, 2012 in the area of Ritson Road North and Winchester Road East, are those of a man believed to have been 5-feet 9-inches tall and weighing 224 pounds with dark brown hair. He had a scar on his left knee and was wearing a red waterproof jacket and a hooded sweatshirt, the police said.
