Sufferer of house invasion in Oshawa breaks leg whereas making an attempt to flee

A man suffered a broken leg after jumping out of a window in an apartment robbery in Oshawa, police said.

Five men are being sought as suspects in the incident, which occurred at around 11 p.m. on Thursday, September 3, in a house in the Greenhill Avenue and Harmony Road area, Durham police said. The suspects, armed with handguns, sprayed an irritant inside the house and tried to handcuff the victims, police said.

During the incident, a person escaped from a window on the second floor but broke his leg in the process, police said. Two other victims, a man and a woman, were slightly injured.

The invasion was a targeted incident, police said. The suspects, all of whom had their faces covered, fled by vehicle before the officers arrived.
