Suspect arrested, allegedly promoting medicine in Oshawa

A suspect is facing numerous charges after police saw someone selling drugs on the streets of Oshawa.

On Tuesday, May 31, Durham Regional Police officers were conducting patrols in downtown Oshawa when officers saw a man involved in what they believed to be a drug sale with another person, police said.

The suspect was arrested and police seized fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine with a street value of about $7,700.

Michael Samuels, 48, of Oshawa, is facing charges that include possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine), possession for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine) and possession for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl).

He was held for a bail hearing.
