The Metropolis of Oshawa is rigorously contemplating vaccine insurance policies for all metropolis staff

Oshawa is “carefully” considering what it calls a workplace vaccination policy to “better protect” the health and safety of employees and community members.

The policy would include consultation with local community partners in the Durham area and with the city’s unions. No mention is made of whether all Oshawa City employees require a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination to work for the city.

“Researching a workplace vaccination policy for our city workers … is another way we can make a strong impact,” said Mayor Dan Carter. “A strong vaccination mandate not only protects our team, but also our community.”

The City of Pickering announced that all city employees will be required to provide evidence earlier this week that they have been vaccinated against COVID-19, and the City of Whitby has announced that it will be working on a policy for its employees for COVID-19 including the vaccination policy.
