The town of Oshawa requires all staff to be totally vaccinated by November 12th

Now it’s official: All Oshawa City employees must disclose their COVID-19 vaccination status from October 1 and be fully vaccinated by November 12 in order to work for the city.

The only allowable exceptions are for those who “cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons,” the city said on Friday afternoon.

The city said it developed the policy with its unionized and non-union workers and that the policy applies to all workers in the city, including full-time, part-time, permanent, temporary and casual work. The mandatory guideline on the full vaccination status of COVID-19 also applies to students, volunteers and city workers on direct contract. And it is also a condition of employment that all new Oshawa City employees be fully vaccinated.
