Two males charged in January taking pictures loss of life in Oshawa

Two men are facing charges in connection to Durham’s first homicide of the year, a shooting that took place on Jan. 3.

Police reported that Saeid Mabrok Saeed Salem, 20, of Ottawa, was found with gunshot wounds in a Toyota on Madison Avenue in Oshawa. He was found without vital signs and rushed to hospital where he died.

On Aug. 23, Durham police announced two people are facing charges. Kody Lim, 19, of Toronto, is charged with second-degree murder. Kody Cummings, 25, of Peterborough, was also arrested and is charged with accessory after the fact.

Both men are being held in custody.
