UPDATE: Bicycle owner, 16, killed after being struck by tractor trailer in Oshawa
A 16-year-old cyclist was killed after being struck by a truck Thursday evening, May 19, in south Oshawa.
Durham police continue to investigate the collision, which occurred at the intersection of Simcoe and Wentworth Streets around 7:20 pm
The cyclist, who was not identified by the police, was declared dead at the scene. The driver of the truck remained on scene and cooperated with investigators, police said.
Members of the Collision Investigation Unit remained on scene for several hours to collect evidence.
