Weapons and medicines confiscated from Oshawa residence

Five people were arrested and four firearms were confiscated after police issued a search warrant in a house in Oshawa.

Two shotguns, a handgun and a rifle, along with drugs, were confiscated from a house on Center Street South by Durham Regional Police on Friday October 15.

The DRPS Gun and Gang Unit confiscated a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun, a loaded sawed 12-gauge shotgun, a 12-gauge shotgun and a rifle, and ammunition, police reported.

The firearms were not lawfully owned and were not stored safely, police added.

Drugs such as fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, MDMA pills, and Percocet pills with a street value of more than $ 75,000 were seized along with $ 7,500 in Canadian currency.

Christopher Allan, 42, without a permanent address; George Yeo, 32, of Whitby; Jennifer Pyne, 26, of Janetville; Judith Pomeroy, 57 from Oshawa; and Jason Warren, 46, of Oshawa, were charged with various offenses.
